Hitachi ULSI Systems designs and develops LSIs which are used in all kinds of fields from industry(e.g.high-performance computers and communications networks) to devices (e.g.personal com-puters and mobile telephones).
Naturally, we design custom LSI circuits in response to the many and varied needs of customers, but we are also a leader in LSI processes for cutting-edge on-chip memory and mixed-signal LSI circuits to handle both analog and digital signals. Moreover, we have a range of intellectual property concerning the configuration and architecture of LSI circuits.
We also use these technologieg in application-specific device products.
From porting of operating system to developing application software, we provide a comprehensive range of consistently high-quality design services.
With an in-depth knowledge of the hardware in microprocessors and SOCs, we are able to design embedded software that maximally utilizes hardware performance. Furthermore, we provide middleware for speech synthesis (Ruby TalkR), one-segment television tuners, file systems, and so on, along with software development tools such as compilers.

Hitachi ULSI Systems applies the latest technology in developing and manufacturing components for embedding in the system devices of our customers and in providing development platforms which accelerate the development of system devices by our customers.
